Greetings from the National Leadership Team
February
We had a full attendance of members for our first meeting for the year in Nelson on the 13th February. Our main focus was debriefing conference and planning ahead for our gathering this year. We have an exciting program which is now being confirmed, dates and details will be available after our next meeting in April. We are also planning to hold Senior Ministers & Spouses days prior to this event.
We are very glad to report on a welcome development; from July we will be able to record statistics either weekly, monthly or yearly through the CCNZ website. In June we will have a trial run to iron out any issues and then in July it will be up and running. Closer to June, Debby Hoffman will inform the churches of the procedure and also the added benefits individual churches will have available to track their growth.
There has been a change to the thinking on registration for the Charities Commission. Linda is now recommending that each church register individually BUT Linda is willing to do the physical work of registration for any of the churches that would like her to. Any queries contact Linda direct

We spent time discussing the “P” factors that were shared at Conference and are listed in the Mission of a Movement 08 paper http://www.ccnz.org/Mission08.pdf. We encourage you to look at these breakdowns and work out for yourselves where your church is at and take the results to the Regional Pastors days and brainstorm ways to move up the scale. George and Pauline are also available to help with the analysis.
The dates and venue for convention will be finalized at our April meeting look out for the details next month. Can we encourage you to start thinking who you will bring with you this year, its going to be a great few days on input.
March
At our March meeting time was spent discussing what the High End Goals for our Church Developers need to be if we are to reach the goals set down in our Mission of a Movement paper. They will be helping to redefine our churches through the P Factor Scale, and helping senior leaders to strategise for growth for the next level, e.g. small churches to become medium size, medium to large, large to significant, and what strategies are needed for each church to move up the P factor scale. This will mean a major role shift from Mentoring to Challenging leadership teams are the country toward growth.
Steve Silcock joined us for discussion on Next Generation support. He sees this as a two fold issue: Equipping & inspiring the youth and also to equip and inspire the churches that sustain the Youth cross-generationally, we will spend more time discussing how we can best generate this support.
Blessings

Website News
Our website is always in our discussions, especially ways in which to improve the site and providing a service for our churches that do not yet have their own website. There are exciting developments happening in the background. One that has been mentioned already in the National Leadership Report is Online Reporting. This is a facility churches will use to record their statistics. Whether you enter details on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis is up to you, however the benefits of weekly or monthly for you as a church include: up to date record keeping (no need to file an annual return as the information is kept up to date), extensive reporting which shows how your church is growing on a week by week basis (including graphs). We will keep you informed on this development and will be launching the trial run in June.
The second development is an Online Login which will give you access to pages related to your church that you can update. The first stage is to find out which churches are interested in pursuing this and the next stage is to decide what customisable features will be available. Please email your interest and any ideas to

Alan Jennings from the CEPTB is struggling to get the information he would like to put together a combined insurance package (with resultant cost savings to individual churches) for building insurance.
