A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hi All, It’s time for a catch up with the happenings here with Christian Churches New Zealand.

The National Leadership Team has been intensely active over the last 6 months putting in place specific strategies to give the movement a needed push in the right direction. As a result of this we looked at what changes were needed to help us meet set goals, particularly our priority goal of locating, growing and supporting pioneering leaders in our churches.

One of those changes that the NLT have deemed necessary was to the role of National Director. With much discussion and angst for the NLT team a decision was made that the role of National Director would become less of a priority as we turn our focus to our major goal of the raising up of Pastors and Leaders. Therefore the position of National Director will not continue, meaning George Langford finishing his employment with the movement.  This is paramount for us as we endeavor to believe for a movement that is truly growing.

George has played a significant role over the last 8 years with us and we know he will be greatly missed. We are eternally grateful for the work both He and Pauline have accomplished during this time with us and we pray God’s Blessing as they seek God for the next chapter of their lives.

Although this has not just been a financial decision it will certainly free up finance to help us move forward. We thank those of you who have faithfully supported Church Development and we are asking that you continue to do so as we bring an even greater emphasis to you in the area of Church development.

In the month of June, 3 representatives of the NLT will be touring NZ to meet with the pastors and elders for round table discussion presenting the current changes and the possibilities of the future. This will be informative, interactive, exciting and encouraging. Pastors and Elders please don’t miss this. This will entail an afternoon and an evening together. We are looking forward to this.

Also our CCNZ conference is happening in August “Summit 2011” held at the Annesbrook Church. We want to encourage you all to come and bring your people. There will be something for everyone. Our speaker is Ps. Paul DeJong from Life Church in Auckland. He has been a huge encouragement to the wider body in this country and overseas. Ps. Paul has much to share in the area of leadership and Pastoral ministry and I'm sure he will be an encouragement to us all.

God Bless you all and we are looking forward to what God has in store for us as we continue to follow His leading in our lives.

Blessings

Brent Liebezeit

President

NLT TRAVELS TO THE REGIONS

Dates and times are being confirmed over the next two weeks regarding NLT members travelling to regions in June to meet with Pastors and Elders. If you are a Pastor of one of our CCNZ Churches and have not been contacted yet rest assured someone will be in touch with you over the next couple of weeks. As Brent mentioned above these meetings will be informative and interactive and will also be a great opportunity to build stronger connection with NLT members, Pastors and Elders.
