October/ November 2008

Greetings from the National Leadership Team

We met in Nelson on 21 & 22nd October, Paul Burton led us in devotions from 2 Tim 4: 1- 5 “Keep our head in all situations”. He challenged us to take note of what is going on in our head, what are we thinking?  "As a man thinks so he is" we need to monitor our thoughts with all diligence. It was a good reminder.

Stipend Booklet

Our stipend booklet review is almost completed; we intend to have these available for circulation to the churches and pastors by the end of November.

We have been spending time over the last few months looking at our risk management policy. We have had the Childsafe Products pack reviewed by one of our Children’s church workers, she recommends it.  At this stage we are investigating holding one pack for the Movement and running an elective on this topic at Move 09.

Move 09 – Conference

Dates have been set 20 – 22nd August 2009, Senior Pastors day 19th August. We have moved the days to Friday & Saturday because a majority of feed back from Move 08 indicated this was a preference.  Mark your diaries now to make sure you save the dates.

We on the NLT pray for your church and value the prayers and support we receive back.

Our next meeting is 12 & 13 November
